Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys is speaking out about the death of his younger brother Aaron Carter, who was found dead Saturday at his home in Southern California. And we thank you guys for all the love, all your well-wishes, and all your support. Nick's little brother, Aaron Carter, passed away yesterday at 43 years old, and he's a part of our family. And we just wanted to find a moment in our show to recognize him. KEVIN RICHARDSON: Because we lost one of our family members yesterday. “He was a part of our family and we thank you guys for all the love and all the well wishes and all the support.”Īs Richardson was speaking Carter appeared to wipe his eyes with his hand as other members of the band walked over to hug him. “We lost one of our family members yesterday,” Kevin Richardson can be heard saying. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. “Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness are the real villains here. I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed,” Carter said. “Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded.
